Psychoanalysis is primary “talk therapy” analysing experiences, dreams and memories for their influence on perception and interpretation of life. It is also a very creative process that may include Art–sketching, painting, collage–Sandplay or constructing a scene with figures in a sand tray, as well as journalling, writing Active imagination–dialogues with inner characters–and other compositions, like short stories. These are helpful in releasing caught idea and responses held to protect the body and spirit.

Clients are also encouraged to do seek professional body work such as shiatsu or massage as the psyche is embodied and memory is often stored in the body.

Time is negotiated for periods of 60 to 90 minutes.

Fees are negotiated on a sliding scale. Please note sessions are not covered by BC health insurance.

Telephone consultations are possible when distance is an issue and Skype can be used.

All decisions to begin psychoanalysis and its ending are the right and responsibility of the client, yet discussion is encouraged for mutual benefit.

Awareness and adherence to ethical behaviour of the analyst and the client is an important part of the Jungian therapeutic relationship
